Her’s an image of a young daughter playing freely with her Dad, perched precariously atop the hill, with the American Flag in the backdrop! This was captured earlier this year while walking up top the historic Federal Hill looking over the Baltimore Inner Harbor. The Federal Hill was apparently a well known lookout during the Civil War and the 1812 War, and we just love the historical context of the location where this image was captured.
The images below are from the re-enactment of the Civil War from the last year’s 4th of July celebration at the North Branch Park in Bridgewater, NJ.

The first image captures the celebration of freedom… reaction of the crowd to the fireworks show! Without the proper context and the fireworks images that follow, this image really seems surreal!

The Friends is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Phillipsburg Library, by collecting dues and raising funds to provide gifts to the library and to sponsor programs for the benefit of all readers. A new website for FPFPL is in the works, and should be up and running in the near future.
Our family has enjoyed the library services, and the summer reading programs, and we would like to encourage others in the community to support and use the library resources and services.
